People costs and risks

Employment tax and legal

With the ever-increasing burden of legal and tax compliance, it is becoming more and more difficult for organizations to meet their regulatory obligations. Employment costs, changes to government legislation, growing National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and new business immigration procedures have increased the demands on employers.

Employment tax risk: Preparing employer compliance obligations and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) reviews. Validating organisations’ internal processes to control risks/costs and, where compliance failures occur, negotiating with HMRC on behalf of clients.

Employer cost reduction: Restructuring pay and benefit arrangements such as salary sacrifice schemes, flexible working arrangements and cost effective benefit schemes to reduce employer costs.

Employer social responsibility: Enabling employers to meet their social responsibility goals, for example, finding ways to measure and reduce their carbon footprint and how to implement behavioural change amongst their employees.

Employment law: Providing expert legal advice on UK employment and business immigration law, employee tax, pension regulations and effective human resource management.
